Snowshoeing is one of winter sport's success stories. Its expansion is phenomenal and few places can compete with Chamonix Mont Blanc for variety. Snowshoeing can take you to places that skis cannot and is a very simple skill to master.

You do not need to be an expert slalom skier or a cross country ski racer to handle snowshoes. Try Mont Buet, or the picturesque village of Charousse, or drive through the Mont Blanc tunnel to try out Italy's Val Ferret near Courmayeur. Identify dozens of animal tracks and take time to savour some of the area's after-sports activities. Not to be missed!
